About EDA
Escape Dance Academy opened its doors in the summer of 2010 and has grown to be one of the top studios in the nation. Conveniently located next to the Wedgewood Plaza in Austintown, EDA offers a variety of classes for all ages and levels. Our highly trained and qualified instructors offer classes in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, tumbling/acrobatics, adult classes, preschool classes, and more!
Escape Dance Academy has an award-winning competition team that has won championships across the country. With expert training, top of the line instructors, and cutting edge choreography, EDA’s competition team leads the nation in building well-rounded employable dancers.
Additionally, the studio has an extensive recreational program. Whether you are looking for an after-school activity or joining our award-winning competition team, Escape has something to offer EVERY child.
Meet the founder
Lindsay Stumpo is the Owner and Creative Director at Escape Dance Academy. Taking her first dance class at the age of three, Lindsay has always had a passion for dance. She danced competitively through high school, earning several titles, scholarships and intensive workshops with Broadway Dance Center and the Radio City Rockettes.
After graduating high school, Lindsay moved to New York City where she was an intern at Broadway Dance Center. There she danced with the best and learned from the best. This rare experience helped her find her true passion, teaching others to dance.
Lindsay opened the doors to her greatest passion project, Escape Dance Academy in 2010. Lindsay leads her students and staff with honesty, class and instills a love for dance that she hopes will last a lifetime.
When she is not at the studio, Lindsay loves spending time with her two daughters, Channing and Clara, her son, Carmen and husband Paul.
